“Frightening to Fabulous” Room Makeover
|

Scenic Falls Federal Credit Union, Bennett's Paint and Glass, and Builders Design Center teamed up with Oldies 98.1 and Hot 106 to participate in the “From Frightening to Fabulous” room makeover. Riley Somsen was selected as our 2005 winner. A while back, Riley and her older brother, Garrett, were saving up for snowboards when they learned of a child with leukemia that was about to undergo advanced chemotherapy. Wanting to help, Riley and Garrett asked their parents if they could donate there snowboard savings to assist the child’s family with medical expenses. A few months later Garrett was diagnosed with a fatal brain tumor and has since passed on.
The businesses mentioned above, along with a few others from the community, were able to make Riley’s dream room makeover a reality while spreading a little joy to a family that has been through a lot. Thanks to all who participated. We look forward to next year’s room makeover event.

Scenic Falls Federal Credit Union will award a $500 scholarship to one local high school senior each year. Any high school senior who is a member of the credit union and meets the eligibility requirements may compete for this scholarship.

Children’s Miracle Network
|

The Children’s Miracle Network is an organization actively involved in helping local families cover the costs of expensive medical treatments needed for their children. Scenic Falls supports this organization by raising funds each year for these families. As a member of Scenic Falls you can get involved each December by electing to skip a payment on one or more of your loans for a $10 skip-a-payment fee. A portion of this fee will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network.

Scenic Falls is proud to be a platinum sponsor of the Annual Scenic River Classic. The Development Workshops hosts this annual 5k and 10k walk and run to help generate funds for the disabled here in the Idaho Falls Community. We would like to thank our members each year for so generously sponsoring a Scenic Falls employee. One hundred percent of each $10 sponsorship goes directly to the disabled. Also, each $10 sponsorship enters you into a drawing to win $100 cash.
